RE: Lap-Band Procedure - Decide To Do It

Hi Karen, Yep, Thanksgiving is always a big eating event. Now, I've got to make it through the numerous Christmas parties and, of course, Christmas goodies in the break room at work. :( Take care, Chuck & Terry

RE: Lap-Band Procedure - Decide To Do It

Hi Cat, Thanks for your post and your continued support. It's very tough at times changing the most powerful organ in your body, the brain. We've been conditioned all our lives to live and eat one way, then all the sudden you've got to do a reversal of your programmed conditioning. Chuck & Terry

RE: Lap-Band Procedure - Decide To Do It

Bette, The problem is I wanted to eat, but I couldn't. That's what the band does, it restricts the amount of food you're able to eat. Personally I was very proud of my self restraint and not loading down my plate. For me it was a very big accomplishment. Take care, Chuck & Terry

RE: Lap-Band Procedure - Decide To Do It

Hi Cat, I hope you and Jim had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Well I don't know if the weight loss is due to a totally changed mindset, but I have most definitely had to change my eating habits since I just can't eat what I previously consumed. Also some foods just are not agreeable to me anymore. Fortunately, some of those foods are the ones that have high fat and were not good for me in the first place, it all for the best in the long rnn. C & T

RE: Lap-Band Procedure - Decide To Do It

Rick & Shelia, Thank you very much, I appreciate your post. On another note, I am pleased to announce that I had a wonderful weight loss this week, yes, even with the Thanksgiving holiday and all the tempting, delicious foods available. :B I am now down to 330.6. As many of you remember, I started out my weight loss journey at 386! I am doing well and feeling better with each passing day. Chuck & Terry

RE: Observations of a Campground Owner

I missed the original post as well. What a great post. The problem is, some will read it and still think, "Those rules don't apply to me or my rig!" :)

Not familiar with the model but for that price, how could you go wrong? I'd definitely go for it!

RE: My silly project

What a wonderful hobby and what a fun web page. We'll look forward to reading more about the adventures of Erwin! We were in Washington D.C. a while back and they had a kite fly off going on at the Smithsonian. Wow, some of those kites were incredible. It took a lot of expertise to handle them correctly. Terry and I watched the competition for hours.

RE: New TT, A Few Questions :-)

Montano, Yep, you can use any "septic tank" approved toilet tissue. There are many users that use any type of toilet tissue with no problems. We've been using Scott's Single-Ply for years now with no issues. When it comes to tank treatments, everyone develops their own routine. Some use the GEO method, some use traditional chemicals, some use no chemicals at all. Here's what works for us. I'm not saying it's any better that someone else's routine. For our black water tank treatment we use Happy Campers Odorless Holding Tank Treatment. A scoop of it goes into the tank with 2-3 gallons of water plus a cup of powdered Calgon Water Softener. We have absolutely no smell when dumping and flushing. We do use a Flush King to back-flush our tanks when dumping. A rule of thumb, always start with your black water tank and end up with your gray water tank when dumping and flushing. Also use plenty of water when flushing the commode. Good luck!

RE: Interesting article? Hope there is no truth to it.

Propaganda and wishful thinking on the professor's part. Russia has been wishing the United State would break up since the 1950's.
